PRINTING QUALITY STYLES

    LIT On Location uses a custom lab which specializes in printing portrait and wedding images on Archival Fuji Paper from Fuji S2 and S3 Digital SLR image files. All prints come to you ready to frame and feature a UV Inhibiting Lustre Spray Coat at no extra charge. All prints are stamped with a copyright stamp on the back. Please see our copyright information at right.

LIT On Location offers three quality levels of printing from negatives*:

"CUSTOM"

Custom printed, burned & dodged to the highest standards.

UV protective sprayed.

Some retouch work (minor face, hair, etc.) available at an additional charge (contact LIT for details).

"SIGNATURE"

These are the Ultimate in Fine Art printing and mounting for those seeking the Finest in Display printing!

All prints are Hand Printed and Retouched with Minor Airbrushing for Enhancement.

These Fine Prints are mounted on Canvas & Stretcher Frame ~or~ Canvas on Masonite Panel.

Prints feature a Custom Brush Stroke for the Ultimate in Fine Art Display.

UV protective sprayed.

AN IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT CROPPING! ~ Image sizes and cropping from 35 mm film (or digital files) and 645 cm (medium format) films vary. 6x4.5 cm films are proportional to an 8 x 10 print size. 35 mm films will be cropped to fit an 8 x 10 (8 x 12 is a full frame 35 mm print. Please contact me for more information about film size formats and how they crop. NOTE: If your proof is a 4" x 5" inch that is from a 645 cm negative. If your proof is 3.5" x 5" it is from a 35 mm negative.

*NOTE: Digital Image crops are similar to 35 mm cropping parameters.

DIGITAL RETOUCH WORK

DIGITAL: Each file is retouched including color balance, minor hair & facial retouching. If extensive retouching is required we will contact you for approval of any additional fees.

NEGATIVE: Some retouch work may require digital retouching which is billed hourly with an additional cost for outputting a new negative to work from. When digital retouching is required customer will be notified of the additional cost. Digital retouch needs include facial retouching, eliminating people from the image, adding people, eyes, etc.

  • Digital retouch work is available for a number of custom purposes including eye transfer from one photo to another, removal of people from image, and other manipulations.

  • Digital work (billed by the lab): $95 per hour with a 15 minute minimum.

  • "Negative file" burned to CD from a digital file: 15.00

ORDER DELIVERY INFORMATION

  • All orders take 3-4 weeks from the time they arrive at LIT until the finished prints are shipped back to you. NOTE: Some orders may take longer based on such factors as size of the order, different printing services ordered, retouch work, etc.

  • All orders require a credit card to be held against the order. An invoice will be emailed (PDF file) or mailed with a SASE for your convenience. No order will ship without full payment. SORRY ~ no exceptions will be made.

  • SPECIAL HOLIDAY ORDER DEADLINE REQUIREMENTS: Because of lab volume during the holidays our lab fails to produce the top-notch quality we expect at LIT. Therefore no orders are placed preceeding and during the holidays. All orders for the holidays must be received prior to November 15.

SORRY! Absolutely no orders can be processed between November 15th and January 10 of the following year.
